2020 Yukon Quest

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Thanks FDF! I got busy today and didn't have a chance to watch. :)

I can't get to sleep tonight, so am reading here. Look what I found on face book, good news. I copied it from their fb site.

"Way to go Jim and Northern Whites!!!
HurricaneDave Rush is at Northern Whites Kennel - Jim Lanier.
7 hrs · Chugiak, AK

This just in: Jim Lanier and the Northern Whites WILL be allowed to mush in the Iditarod this year! Jim finished his qualifying races with flying colors and got the word this morning. Many thanks to everyone who signed and circulated our petition last fall. And thanks to CEO Rob Urbach for hearing us out and helping create a pathway for Jim to qualify. "

Olivia Webster is still on the move, only 8.4 miles out of Dawson.
Speaking of Dawson, it has room for Olivia as 4 teams are on the move.
Michelle at 596.3, having passed a stopped Brent who is at 586.5.
Cody is running at 555.3 and Allen at 549.9.

BTW does anyone else like being able to get close enough in Dawson to see the street names?

Well the worrywart in me is kicking in, Brent has been stopped at mile 586.5 for about 3.5 hours.
Cody is at 571.4 so we will see if he slows or stops near Brent.
