Good Morning Iditabuds

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Morning, OK, early afternoon. LOTS of rain here yesterday/last night (about 5 inches) Glad I'm on high ground above lake as it has risen over 1.5 feet! so far and still rising. Wind in early morning took down some pine trees, some across the road, but luckily it is a loop so there is still away out! No Structural damage except for fences.
Proud PaPa of the triplet litter; Aidan (B), Bailey (G), and Cameron (B). Cameron is on top in picture; Bailey, of course, is the bowhead!!

Good Morning everyone. Stay safe, somewhere someone loves you.

SC we got the tail end of that storm, windy all day and downpour at 12:30 am. But no where near as damaging in this area as farther north.

This week I received a great Cabela's Iditarod vest as a prize for winning the TTP last year. Thank you to dogdude, who donated the vest. I love it.

Morning all. I was up early (for me, ah retirement!) to take baby girl to school. It's a cool rainy morning here, so what better way to spend it than camped out watching the tracker?? :D :D
