Good Morning Iditabuds

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Yikes sc-race-fan, that sucks. I hope you’re feeling even better today and that Dawn is okay.

Morning all. Got my Jackson Browne's "Stay" playing. Another great race and being at the start was a lifetime dream come true. I highly recommend it and Wild Alaska Travel is an great tour vendor, with an in depth understanding of the race and what, when and where to go to get an unforgettable experiences.
Proud PaPa of the triplet litter; Aidan (B), Bailey (G), and Cameron (B). Cameron is on top in picture; Bailey, of course, is the bowhead!!

Hey SC looking forward to more pics! I started a load out thread thinking I would have lots of pictures to post today and they never took the snow away or moved the arch? I don’t ever remember a Monday after the Iditarod finish when they didn’t do that?

Seems like sometimes ITC starts removing banners, etc. before the Red Lantern arrives.

Well now, that would make sense. Noticed the banners Sunday and thought they might have been on Front Street earlier. Banners are not cheap.

Morning! All is well here at Mooselook. Agiococook (Mt. Washington, tallest peak in the Northeast) is resplendent in glittery white this morning, standing tall and beautiful under a bluebird sky. Ahhh.

It appears all is also well out on the Iditarod trail. Took a few minutes to check things out. No surprise to see Sass first in the standings, but by the time I got to the tracker, Petit had slipped past him and into first. First at the moment, anyway. They and we have a lot of trail to cover.

Coffee, anyone? Green Mountain Wild Mountain Blueberry to celebrate the bluebird sky? Hmm?
