Good Morning Iditabuds

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Morning all.

Boy howdy do we have a race!

Greetings from the Coastal Bend of Texas - Where apparently it's gone from morning to a dark and stormy night.. Oh well we need them moisture. Looks like the temps just north of us are about 10 degrees cooler so it's just a little front. Perfect day to hunker down with the race!

It sure is, AUK. The race, the race behind that race, and the race that's following that one. Wow. What an Iditarod this one is.

Good morning Iditabuds!
OK so arch was not transported to Deshka and it looks like it is snowing.
Will they have a dog yard there or let the teams head home right away?
Guessing they will need to stay long enough for vets to check them out.
How well are the roads plowed?
All my children have four feet and fur.
