Good Morning Iditabuds

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Morning all Buds. We are preparing here to shelter in place with the triplets who will arrive today. Better half will come out of "teacher retirement" to GUIDE the tribe. As preteens (12 1/2 years old) they will have to stay focused or suffer my wrath as the in "house principal". Race is getting interesting.
Proud PaPa of the triplet litter; Aidan (B), Bailey (G), and Cameron (B). Cameron is on top in picture; Bailey, of course, is the bowhead!!

SC: Coincidentally, I posted info on my FB page this morning about an opportunity from the Wolf Conservation Center in NY for a distance learning program. I don't know anything about the program itself except that it's free and being offered at this time to try to keep kids educationally engaged during the pandemic. I have been to the WCC and am very impressed by the facility, their philosophy, and their care and commitment to the animals there and wolves generally.
