Boo:
Says Rach scratched at Koyuk. :( She had dropped two dogs on the way out of Koyuk on was down to eight. Haven't seen anything else. Absolutely nothing posted in the news or media section as yet!

Just talked to Jerry and the other handler----they are in Nome and didn't know yet, but while I was talking to Lisa, Rach called Jerry----she's fine, the dogs are fine, but she'd had to drop leaders and they were not able to move forward across the sea ice at anything more than a crawl, so she spun them and went back to Koyuk. The dogs are fine, the girl is fine----of course there is disappointment buried in the bosom of all of us, but I'm so proud of her and life is good. But, I'm sure like her, I'll go have a good cry and then we move forward.

AW boo so sorry to hear that. But I see it's the smart thing for Rach and the dogs. That's no place to be without a good leader. I had wondered why the gps thing showed Joe so many miles ahead of Rach when I checked a couple hours ago. Thought it was just another hiccup in the system. Too bad that wasn't the case.

Sorry Rachael, better luck next time.
