This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Very cool story on Ms. Cool Cat.
And, Breeze, preach it. You speak my truth.

We all believe and accept each other for reasons that don't always follow norms. Here we are, celebrating folks who actually want to sidle up to the sled dog vortex and get sucked right in. People who think a 1000 mile camping trip is their version of March Madness.
Life is something we all share. Life is to be celebrated.

I have a few trans friends and wrote an new inclusion policy for the IFSS for trans athletes to be reviewed this season.
Glad folks are so accepting in our sport, I wouldn’t expect anything less.

Wondering if Quince is being assisted bya snow machine. Rested 10 hrs on the trail before Rainy now going almost 10 mph. Then again maybe he just wanted to do the steps in daylight!!

Some have described the steps this year as a luge ride. Perhaps he is on the downhill slide. Hope he doesn't crash at the bottom. Hope he didn't fall off the sled at the top!
