White Mountain - Safety - Nome

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Thomas will soon start his last climb, up from Safety.

Several others have left WM.

watching the tracker while shoveling breakfast and about to leave for work, he should get in as i get to work :(

Sure was fun to see the wheel dogs King & Kong banging the harness under the burled arch!! They were raring to go on down the trail! What a powerhouse of a team ~Congrats to Team Waerner!!! :D

Interested to see if Paige can overtake Aaron, she was ahead of Joar out of Safety.
