I periodically check out the Talk Forums on the Iditarod's website. I couldn't find them anywhere today.

Does anyone know what happened to them?

Yes, I know there are few (if any) postings during the summer, but I still check them out.

I do not see it there either. It was the last time I looked, but that was several weeks ago. You are right very few posts during off season, worse than us Iditabuds even.

Maybe ITC just wants us to use social media?

Hopefully another 'bud has better luck and will let us know.

I called the Iditarod HQ in Wasilla Friday afternoon. It was a very strange connection, just weird noises and no dial tone, and no answer.

Here is the link to the forum: https://iditarod.com/forums/ It seems to still be there, but not noted in the directory. I logged in to my insider, and you can see how many posts you made in the forum and click on them. Convoluted for sure.

I bet most people think it's completely gone. I just looked and yikes, totally dead.

Then we'd best be prepared for a tsunami of new names here this season. I can say that many of the names I know best from the Iditarod forums already are members here. If this is where they chose to set the hook, rest the team, and stick for a 12 or 24, far be it from me to complain.

Iditabuds has been the best race forum for a long time.
