This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Rod I was having a lot of trouble with tracker...just like what you describe... Finally I changed my browser to Firefox and it has been working much better. It seems it didn't like my version of explorer.

What is the current duration of the login when 'log me in automatically' is checked?
May be just aged memory errors, but it seems to me that I'm having to log in more often that was formerly the case, even when that option is checked. That sort of option, once checked, persists almost indefinitely in other forums I use, so I may be confusing their performance with this forum -- but I thought that in the past, even when I just popped in here at long intervals during the year, I was usually still logged in. I've had to log in again several times during this year's Quest and Iditarod.

I agree JLJ. I have to sign in every time, even when I know positively that I checked the "keep me logged in every time" button.

Good question sugarriver,
I have found that if I don't check in to the forum for several days, say a week, I need to re-log in also. I'm not sure how many days missed will cause that to happen. By check in , I mean even just stopping by to see if something new has been posted.
Are you a regular checker also? If so, then I don't know what is causing the log in to be needed. But if it's every time, yes that would be annoying.
