Trying to gauge, from the trackers, how long people really took on the stretch from Ophir to Iditarod. Dallas and Travis were straight off their 24s in McG, while Brent, Aaron, and Mille were still headed in for 24.
These are rough, based on squinting at the graphs on the trackers:
Brent: 13h 47m (rest: 3h 15m) = 10h 30m total running time
Aaron P: 14h 50m (rest: 4h 15m) = 10h 35m
Mille: 13h 19m (rest: 3h 15m) = 10h
Dallas:13h 12m (rest: 4h) - 9h 12m
Travis: 9h 14m (rest: 3 h, but in Ophir) = 9h 14m
So on average, those front three, headed into their 24s were 45m - 1h 15m slower. Was that because of rougher trail? or because they were going slower headed in to their long rests?
And because they waited longer, will their dogs stay fresher longer than those who rested earlier ('finstance Dallas left McG 10 pm on 10th... Brent will leave ID at 6 pm on 11th, so Brent's dogs will be 20 hours "fresher" than Dallas'?).
At this point, Dallas is roughly 3 hours ahead of Brent (assuming D takes a 4 hour rest in ID).
