Iditarod Purse

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Iditarod Purse

i've been trying to find out what the actual purse is for the #2-30 finishers in the Iditarod. Has anyone else seen it or can tell me where it is? thanks!

Thanks so much! Nice amounts. I like how there isn't that much difference from one position to the next. In some sporting events, the winner gets almost everything, and the others get almost nothing in comparison.

Of course if you figure in the value of the pickup there is quite a diff between 1 & 2 ;) :) But I know what you mean Carolyn! :)
