This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Just added the Northern Light blog and the All Alaska Sweepstakes webcam!
According to the AAS website, it refreshes once every minute.

Anybody have any idea which, if any camera will show the start? The AAS one I have up says "evaluation version" and is stuck at 8:28?

I watched it on the iditaproject cam. Just wish someone could go clean the lens, it is dirty and keeps getting dirtier

Nome seems to be like some places I've lived. Two seasons . . . snowing and miserable sledding:)
