In the land of the midnight sun
Where strange things have been done
We heard everything
About Mackey and King
But nothing of true number one.

"Who is this guy, anyway?"
The fans were heard to say.
"All through the race,
He's been in first place.
The others are miles away."

Then on the 12th day of March,
His two sons Ice and Heart
Both watched him come in
And cheered his win
It was Trail Breaker under the arch!

I'm sorry to say that I won't make it tomorrow either. Work, you see.

However - should you see an Alvanian cave sloth lurking in the corners that would be me in disguise. :D :D :D

Have a great time!

Thanks for also noticing G.B.'s selfless act at the beginning of the race, Moose. 8-) I voted for him and his doggies for Golden Harness for the same reason. I thought we were locked into the five given for Most Inspirational, but sometimes the most inspirational acts get overlooked if the musher isn't around for the long haul. G.B. always seems to be a great ambassador for the race, and is seemingly always willing to help the other guys, even if it affects his race. I hope his racing days aren't over -he and those dogs deserve to get accolades in Nome again.

15 g.b. – for making sure his Iditarider was taken care even though he knew he couldn’t make the run – and all his dogs for getting all excited and tacked up and not getting to show their stuff: winners all around

Oops. Sugarriver, I missed a lot of the nomination process, didn't realize we were limited in making selections. But it's late in the game, so I'll stand with GB. :D He just seems like a heck of a guy and I hope to see him back on the trail soon.
