lance is in at 04.33.50am just saw him come down with someone runnin in front the team and lance ski poling like mad

one has gone to bed, theres lots of trail footage coming out on KTUU.com.

lance eased off due to zorro being off the pace and the no dog drop rule, shame as im sure he could have won it otherwise with his speed, perhaps that was too fast to early and knocked out of the top two spots, who knows. lance said he didnt care what spot he finished in as long as his team looked good comming in. i managed to see him come in on the bssd cam and as i was the only person i think viewing it it refreshed every second and it was like being stood above the street as he came in ski poling away with someone running ahead of the team.

we should get lots of reports coming out the next few hours and also josh is posting some audio and video on his website iditablog.com

well back to work for me....great fun this morning watching the finish and all the excitment in the chat room as the lights went out in nome as he arrived! i think we crashed nomes cams audio etc and it was up to a few frantic phone calls to the nome police dept to give us the results...huge thank you nome police for being so patient and feilding our calls!! they knew the results before anyone else... and we got clarification from them on the placings before the news hit the websites..another bssd first! thanks everyone!!!

Wow, what a race!! Ran for 2 and a half days and had a 12 min spread from 1st to second... and 3rd not that many minutes back. It really demonstrates that each second spent in rest stop duties, (i.e. feeding, dog care, etc.) either at check points or on the trail is important. Congrats to Mitch, great race..
