Northwapiti Chat

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

North Wapiti News is Karen's list on Yahoo groups. You have to join to get the stories. I will email Karen and ask for her permission to post the stories to this thread.

Thanks, StarD. I was just asking for the link to Karen's group where one might find the stories. I think someone (was it you?) shared it in chat the other night, but it passed by the screen so quickly I missed it. Thanks for providing it here.

StarDancer,

Indeed you have my permission to post the diary entries here. Or you can go to our website http://www.northwapiti.com and find them under 'Karen's Diary' http://www.northwapiti.com/training.html Sometimes they take a few days to make it from the list to the website, but they always eventually make it there!

Hope you all enjoy!

Actually, it wasn't my wedding ring. It was a sterling silver ring with a dog team on it that I wore on my right hand. Because of the wrapping, the vets were able to remove it without cutting it. It is intact, albiet with some dents from the attempts to cut it off, but my finger is still too swollen to get it back on.
