This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Breeze! Have you got your ears on? FDF picked this little tidbit off the Husky Homestead blog:
"I will be attending a Cabela’s Grand Opening in Scarborough, Maine on May 24th & 25th."
Shall we make it a day...or two?

RATTTSSSSS
Doesn't it figure that Jeff will be here MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND?? I'll be gainfully employed and out of THAT Loop! Why can't he add Friday or Monday to that schedule?
I'll ask him by e-mail. See if his fan base can entice him to stretch out his appearance
Just like Jimmy Buffet at Tweeter Center, the Labor Day Weekend Show..... out of my league.
permanently
Go Darlin Moose and take it all in!

I'll write him too, Breeze!
What difference can a day make? Hey, maybe he'll let us take him out for dinner Friday or Monday evening!!! Sure doesn't hurt to ask!

PhotoGirl: Dog clubs in New England host two awesome events every fall and bring in top drivers to give presentations about the sport and their personal experiences. In recent years speakers have included Joe Runyon, Dee Dee Jonrowe, Ramy Brooks, Rachel Scdoris and her dad Jerry, Karen Ramstead, and Lance Mackey! These events are held in New Hampshire and Maine, just a week apart--the weekend before and the weekend of Columbus Day. So if you can't get away for Jeff, schedule that fall trip you're talking about.
