CHAT/TRIVIA April 2nd-1PMAT,2PT,3MT,4CT,5ET,10UK,11NO

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Cool! What kind of car and WHY does it take soooo long to buy a car? It's annoying, fortunately I don't do that much.

2017 Toyota Highlander XLE. I think they add letters so they can charge more! Really not sure why it takes so long: look, drive, get price, buy or not. Really easy steps! Seems like everyone on the "team" wants to talk to you, guess so they can all get some piece of the pie! We buy a new one about every 12-15 years and really wanted to go a few more, but with oil, AC and water leaks and 200,000 miles on our 2001 Camry, and needing a 7 passenger one to be able to haul all the grands, it seemed like it was time or potentially be stranded!

Congrats on the new car! You are like us-we finally broke down and bought a Suburban last summer. The Avalanche was a 2003 with 200K + miles. Still runs OK and we use it for hauling dogs to and from the lake!  Now we have a dog hauler and a kid hauler!

Your new hauler will move your camper easily. Remember there is always a spot in the back yard waiting for you!

Are folks chatting at the finish? -------if we can figure out when that will be. I''m hoping for a close race between numbers 2, 3 and 4.
