Yukon Quest Trail Conditions Report

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Yukon Quest Trail Conditions Report

Postby Johncn » Wed Nov 12, 2008 8:17 am

Hey,

Dan Bross, of KUAC in Fairbanks reports on APRN that the ice on the Yukon is setting up nice and smooth, and the consistent cold weather we've had means that trail conditions for the Quest are looking good.

Let's hope that Iditarod conditions are similar. I know that in our area we have had at least some snow pack since lat week in Setember, or first week in October. And it's been nice and cold throughout the fall so far.

Regards,
