Contest: When Are We Breaking 1000?

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Glad to hear it made it over there so quickly. Please post pictures when you get a chance.

BTW....we are pushing 2000 posts pretty soon! :o

hi , sorry this is so late coming...

but here at last is the photo of the famous guess the 1000th post thread BSSD vest!

we took some alongside the team but sassys bot in the picture, its sooo hard to get huskies to sit still haha anyway here it is and thanks john damon and the kids!!!!

Great pic.. We're over 5,000 now!!! BTW, where is the wheeled wonder??

Congrats, Tangles!!! I've been so behind this year, I'm just finding out about the contest! Advantage: Didn't have to wait to find out who won, AND didn't have to wait for your pic! Got it all at once!!! That's awesome you won! And may I say, You where that vest well! And OH WHAT PURTTY DOGGIES!!!! Way to go! :)

john just sent a post saying we are nearly at 6000 post! should be sometime tonight or tomorrow am..

he also was musing on how many by the red lantern...anyone want to hazzard a guess for fun? im reconing about 10'000

Good job getting your vest pic up Tangles! Sorry I gave you a hard time about that! :lol:

Didn't know you had a wooden sled like that, thought you just used a cart? Did you see Eskil's posts about him being your translator, handler when you race in Norway?! 8-)
