Volunteers need insurance?
Posted: Mon Feb 09, 2009 10:57 amTalking with my grandfather the other day - he is a trail guard leader for the ceremonial start - he said that he got a phone call from one of the organizers giving him a heads up that each Volunteer will need to pay a $10 insurance fee this year. They're worried about injuries.
I haven't received an official email so I don't think the announcement has been made, or if my grandfather misunderstood and they are just talking of implementing it... but figured I'd give a heads up.
