How do you tell the difference between a plumber and a chemist? Ask them to pronounce unionized. -

I don't have an original poem or song yet (although I'm working on one), but I wanted to share one that someone posted on my blog. It was written by someone named Robert to Susan Butcher when she was in the hospital. I think it's beautiful and I wanted to share it.

THE RACE

Barking and howling ,excitement in the air
The dogs are ready, how will they fare
Miles and miles of training is done
The time is here, the time has come
It’s off throuth the shoot like a shot from a gun.
The pace is fast, you better hold on.

The sounds from the trail are the musher’s song,
The sound of their paws running along,
The mist from their breath floats in the air,
Their tails are wagging, were finally there.
The sound of the runners breaks throuth the snow.
The tempo is fast, we have miles to go.

Its out on the trail where my heart has been full
I now need the strength of my huskies that pull
You can do it. We all know you can
It's another race in a different land.

Eskil,
So very moving. This is very, very good! It's on my iPod, can I share it in Nome?
