This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

only 9 days left folks, i ment to start this a few days ago counting down to the race as 12 days till iditarod....but got bogged down with work...so i was thinking we should start a new poem thread... on the lines of the 12 days of christmas..but we could do it either in reverse counting down till the race start to from the race start...but we are 9 days left already, so i thought we should wait and count up over the race.....so what do you recon.... the add one a day as the race kicks off could be fun and would tell a story of the race as it unfolds!
on the first day of iditarod my mushers gave to me...
and you guys add the rest!

Nay, be a Columbus to whole new continents and worlds within you, opening new channels, not of trade, but of thought.
