Thanks RAIMIS2,
You do have to wonder why bad/sad things happen to very nice people.

Thanks for the letter GB.

Hey everyone, check out this site. Gb has a story about running the Stampede Trail when the temps were -50F. It was when he got sick. Very scary times. His last line is GB all the way " I ain't dead yet" :D

Sure hope he can have another try at the Irod, he's got the right spirit.

Best wishes and good health to you GB.

For a bit of news about GB, scroll down the page linked here and see about his upcoming adventure! It starts with the Monday, March 9 paragraph. Then scroll down to the "2009 Expedition" heading. Go GB! Go Aefes!

Thanks Moose,

I'm glad to read GB is still dog sledding. Did you see the pic of the baby doves?

Strangle little things, aren't they. Can't get over the size of their beaks. Hope they make it. Did you read about Kuzie? I'd take him in a heartbeat if he wasn't so far away.

Maybe GB would ship Kuzie, but that is a long way from you. Hopefully he'll find a home in AK, nearby. How are your dogs with new dogs?
Reminds me of the blind sled dog, Rivers. I have only read snatchets of his story, but seems he does very well.

Some baby birds sure aren't very cute to start with and then there are those that as soon as their feathers are dry they're off following the mama and papa bird. GB seems like a gentle person. Those doves will make it ,if at all possible.

What I'm wondering was just how that bicycle was used to search for Aefes. Well of course it was riden, but were the trails so hard packed that that was possible? I have heard of the bike race out there in the snow. Are there special tires?
