Gosh, was that just today, Motor? What a long trip. Have they cut it this close in other years?

Kjetil had the same flight as Robert had last year. The only difference is the 6 hours delay in Seattle.... ;)

I'm also thinking they are cutting it a bit close - but they've done it before so I'm sure they know what they're doing.
http://www.hurdal.com also says they are going up into the mountains about 160 kilometers from Wasilla where the snow conditions are better. Do some training sessions - letting the dogs work out any knots from the travel.

The dogs have been to the vet for checkups and blood samples. Today they will do another training session. Apparently the conditions are excellent with sun and -10 degrees C.

Hurdal.com:

Both the sun and Kjetil are shining and sparkling!

Kjetil Backen and handler Yngve are already fully established in the new timezone - and the most of their report from Wasilla is delievered in english :-)

Yesterday contained blood tests and vet checking of all the dogs.
Today is another day with a training run in the mountains, where the conditions are fantastic - -10 celsius and a sparkling weather.

Net access is so and so in Wasilla, but the connection will improve as the race starts and they get out of the Wasilla dump.

Kristine Nyborg have for the second time been very kind and sent over some photos. And; from what the photos are telling, it's not hard to understand that Kjetil very much want to drive 200 km (?) from Wasilla to get such surroundings for his training runs!

hurdal.com:

Fit for fight
Last trainingrun done ...

Kjetil and Yngve (handler) had a fantastic last preparation trip in the mountains today.
EVerything is fine!
All vet tests were 100 per cent OK.
All gear are stuffed into the sled.
All 17 dogs are in tip-top shape, and because of that, Kjetil's final decision about which dog to leave behind has not been taken.
Just now Kjetil and Yngve are dining with Dean Sanders and family.

Kjetil has got total control and is clear as an egg (norwegian saying: clear (=ready) as an egg - clear and ready is same word - "klar")
