Daughter of Langbein, sister of Sabena. Born: 2003. Also sister of Minnie, Brownie and Dolly in the Nina Skramstad/Lars Monsen-team. Did a great job for Kjetil as leader during Femund600 2008.

LARA
Owner: Bjornar Andersen, F.2005, after Akela and Bowie. Small and fast female. Good leader.

MAI
Description :
3 år from the M-puppies after Masi and Svarten.ca 24 kg. Slightly impulsive, not very brainy, often complaining about lack of speed. Very happy, high geared. Leader: Typical lond distance dog, large and with good fur. Femund 600 and Finnmark 1000. Owned by Bjornar Andersen

LOL .. ah yes .. 2005 Irod .. the year Baghera and DeeDee's leader Ivan engaged in a furtive, brief, and torrid love affair on the trail at the Iditarod (?) checkpoint .. surprise offspring of this romantic union were aptly named Susanne, Libby and DeeDee
Will be fun if DeeDee meets her namesake.

Kjetil Backen, returning to represent Team Norway after a strong third place showing in 2004, said he’s got a very solid unit with dogs he raced all winter supplemented with a few from two-time champion Robert Sorlie and one from Bjornar Andersen. Pointing out the vagaries of the trail and the mysterious and sometimes elusive camaraderie of the dogs and driver, Backen said he would know by Nikolai if he had a team capable of winning. Then, he said, the work would really being. He’d still have to race another 700 miles against other teams that are also peaking.

Robert Sørlie may be racing La grande Odyssèe in the French alps next year. The race starts January 11 and is 1,000 km long. It is the race with the most climbs, 25,000 meters cumulative uphill. There's also a huge amount of spectators at this race, according to the organizers no fewer than a tenth of a million followed the race on location last year.

As I've mentioned before La grande Odyssèe is one of the events that cooperates with Norwegian race Femundsløpet.
