Looks like Karen dropped 2 dogs at Ophir. Possibly due to warm weather.

Look out for video footage of her at Takotna. I assume it will be posted on Insider.

Remembering Snickers, June 6, 2001 - March 11, 2007

Karen plans on scattering Snicker's ashes on Cape Nome, a place special to Karen, as she said, you can see Nome, you know you will finish but you are still in the moment of the race. Karen stops here to have a private moment with her dogs, give the big thank you for a job well done, and this year to leave Snicks.

Read back through some of this post that happened when I was on the trail this year, now that the post was bumped.

No problem posting that interview Tangles! I enjoyed reading it. It seems like so long ago now. Some good memories there - and some 'not so good ones' :)

really enjoyed doing it with you karen and so kind of you to take the time to reply back,,,how many emails did it take 4 i think? hows things at the kennels? are you still running dogs or has showing totaly taken over yet. its warm here and almost to hot for the dogs, they have dug lots of holes to basque in and are enjoying chilling,.......until its colder at nigh then they are hyper again hahaha, just a tad to warm to run them at the moment... a few pre dawn runs are in order but only a few miles to keep them happy.

hi to mark and all at the kennels! :)

Was out with teams a few times earlier in the week, but it has been too warm to run the last few days. Young dogs are doing great!!! So fun to work with the 'puppies'. I've had visitors to the kennel this week from Sweden and Arizona, so things are busy - as always.
Not much showing this year, just not enough money to travel, but Crunchie finished his Championship in style in April and Q made his show ring debut last weekend. He didn't get any points or anything, but I thought he looked fantastic and he was so well behave. I was very proud.

Mark's been away on business all week, but will be home today - yeah!!!

Waiting on a couple litters - my best bud, Kara is due June 19 and is as big as a house. Dad is Moses, who led me into Nome this year.
Moses coleader into Nome was Sprite and she is due June 30th. Father is Watt. I'm thinking a 'Energy Drink' theme for the litter, as Sprite is named after a soda pop and Watt from our 'Electric' litter. "Rockstar Gee" "Jolt HIke" :) :)
