We will use this thread as a testbed for both archived QuickTime files, and live streams.
So far, the goofy hack I wrote has worked flawlessly on my Mac. I have been able to load most QuickTime files as embedded media streams from our server by changing the parameters to {URL}. Woo hoo!!!!

Music but no picture for me as well. Also get a "Click to Run Active-X" message or something like that. I click, but nothing changes.

Hello,
If you are getting sound, but no picture....and the Active X message...it means you need to either install QuickTime, or tell your browser to use QuickTime for .mov files if using IE.
Frankly, I'd recommend Firefox, but you can use IE if you have it set up correctly.

I'm brand new to this so just wanted to make sure. Now, if I can see and here the clip above that means that I am ready to see the live web stream instead of the big blue Quicktime logo on the video page when the broadcast begins, right? And, the feeds will begin March 3 at 8:00 & 3:00 or is that just for the video conferencing? Thanks for help.

Yes, the QuickTime file in this page should play if you are set up correctly.
In addition, you can watch the stream in QuickTime Player itself. Either should work, but for the live broadcast I would recommend the QT Player. We will have a test stream up tomorrow, we think.
Finally, we are going to have both QuickTime and Flash for the live broadcasts this year. The clips we use will then be uploaded in QuickTime format...like the file on this page.

John, great job once again allowing us to experience this event like none other can do! This will rival the Insider deal for sure! Really enjoyed the Diomede clip and the lead in music is fantastic. Well done video.
I spent a week in Litle Dio. back in Jan. '79! Had a great time with the people and school. I was working for Norton Sound Health at the time teaching first aid/cpr in the Bering St. communities. Had a great time with Pat Omiak and some of the kids took me out blue cod fishing.
