This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. We need this one soon! I hope for the trio in front to have a nice, smooth and safe trip in to Nome. There are several races in the fifth to twenty at least...Aliy and Jessie.. Who will be first? Jessie versus Matt for ROTY? Just to mention some examples

@ 6.5 mph (his current speed) = 11.8 hours = 3:45 am ish
@ 7 mph = 11 hours = 2:50 am ish
