This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Ah, good news! Looks like Emily and Marcelle are together and are coming into Iditarod. Marcelle going at 3 mph and they are both at mile 432 which are the CP mileage. At the tracker they are both marked as beeing in CP.
Have a good rest!

Emily's tracker is now reporting her in, but quite frankly, I think it's been a little wonky on this run. It seems Emily tried to run with Marcelle, but with the wierd reporting by the tracker, hard to tell. I'm sure there's a story to be told.

Marcelle used 37 hours during the standing, Emily 32 hours...
The other who used long time on that leg used around 20 hours.
