This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Morning all. The house has turned in to a school with the trips here, this mornings breakfast is sausage and french toast. Don't have much computer time as it is taken over for school work.
Proud PaPa of the triplet litter; Aidan (B), Bailey (G), and Cameron (B). Cameron is on top in picture; Bailey, of course, is the bowhead!!

Good morning!
Kind of you to house the temporarily school for the triplets! ...todays history lesson is the serum race to Nome
?
I've just told our school girl about the expeditions for finding the north west passage (this is most interesting for Europeans I guess? Find a way to sail north of Canada and Alaska).. and Nome kind of found it way into that as well (it wasn't my fault.. it was on the map I shown her.. honestly
)

Morning, fellow isolates. Will the Elim 11 make it today? Did Re-Route Breaker successfully free them from there snowy prison? Stay tuned!
