This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Getting a full puppy team of 14 all the way to Nome is impressive!
Grayson is 6 miles from Nome, Martin is 10 miles.
Laura Neese is in Safety, just Kaci Murringer (last) and Damon Ramaker who has not passed Safety!
Make the dog lot ready, here comes 112 more dogs

Martin deserves two or more awards:
Vet's award for dog care
Humanitarian (for shepherding 14 puppies and 10 stranded teams from Elim to Nome)
Best of Show (for being a great all around mushing guy)

Yes. I wish they had a light on that camera. The Nome cam isn't showing anything for some reason.

I guess most of the extra lightning and stuff went with the insider crew. I appreciate they kept the arch cam for us
