This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Yes, noticed just now. Means Kjetil is the fastest right now. Paul might go slow with him going further on his mind...?

Speaking of burgers - I think I'll have that for dinner tonight. But certainly not from McDonalds.

No burgers for me. I'll have Kjøttkaker, that is really "mat for mons" (delicious).

Found a good weater forcast for Kuskokwim valley, valied from last night. I have been wondering about how much snow had fallen. If this forcast was correct they actually had approx 2 inches last nigh. We have seen that the temps have been right around 32 F so the snow must have been slightly wet and heavy.
According to the forecast they will get more precipitation both later today and tomorrow.
