Thread: Who's the Leader?

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Lance is moving slowly at the moment, 3 mph. Does he have a tired team or is he up to something. Jeff seems to have been snacking for a little while, but is back at 6 mph again. Kjetil is on the move, 6 mph, with Aron trailing him, only 2 miles behind. And then we have Hans and Rick somewhere in between.
This is exciting :!: :!: :!: Wonder if Hans can beat Lance to Ruby.

If we trust both the current standings AND the CPS unit, Kjetil have travelled 9 miles in 4 hours ...

Hmm ... I didn't like the idea of taking the 24 in Takotna, because of increased chance of catching the ugly bug. Hope I'll be proven wrong in my "superstitions"
