POT LUCK PARTY IN THE BREAKERS BAR AND GRILL

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

Thanks (and a shiver) to everyone tending to the spiders. Much appreciated. Ugh!

Coming off 24 so restocked a few things. Fresh ginger cookies from the oven on the counter and Duck Fart supplies in the cupboard.

Thanks for the Duck Fart fixins, I hope you got some of that NC BBQ before other attendees ate it all. The 24's give us all a reset. I had to do a "not yet" when our workout leader played JB's "stay" today!

Moring 'buds! Leaving a big pan of migas on the stove and some fresh OJ in the fridge! Come and get it while it's hot! We'll be heading out soon to help out our Humane society at a dog adoption events, so need to fuel up, and I made way too much! :D

Hi Buds! It's nice and toasty in here. Someone must have added wood to the fire this morning. I swept up a few mouse turds, washed up the empty containers from the latest treats, and will leave a pot of chili on the stove, and some cole slaw and cornbread. Now to go check out the leap frogging on the Yukon. Still quite a few possibilities for a winner this year, but Travis certainly has a team to be proud of!

Incoming cheesey pasta with hot dogs, fresh garlic bread, fresh salad and I have topped up the coffee situation :D :D
Fire is roaring in the stove and have split a load of logs to keep us going!

The race is really hotting up!

Wow, the race is heating up. Putting a pot of sausage gravy on the stove along with some scratch made biscuits. Enjoy your southern breakfast, and Mira can be first in line as I see she is online here now!

Yai, thanks! Really yummy, and perfect timing for some afternoon snacking :D come and join, still lots left.

So.. we need some food to get going for the last part of the race. I have placed a pot of "pinnekjøtt" on the stove, it is finished in a couple of hours (it's salted and smokes lamb ribs)..

OOO mira that sounds good. Is it ready to eat yet? Smells so tasty. I'll grab a biscuit or two to go with the pinnekjott.

It's strawberry season here so you get a big bowl of ready to eat berries and the whipped cream is in the snow bank out back. Sponge cakes and sweet biscuits are near the bowl of berries for make it your self shortcakes.
