Good Morning Iditabuds

This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

So excited!!! I don't usually wear a hoodie to work, but today I have my Wild and Free hoodie on. I've arranged for a volunteer to watch the phones, so I can watch the finish. (I have to attend a meeting tonight, so that will make up for taking some time off in the middle of the day.)

Morning all. Still fighting the covid bug I brought back from Alaska, but feel like i'm turning the corner! We still have a long way to go with many not yet at the coast. All who race are winners!

Oh bummer, sorry you picked up that nasty thing as a souvenir. Hope you recover quickly, glad you are safely home!

Well that stinks definitely not the kind of souvenir you want to bring home with ya :( Wishes for a speedy recovery! Happy to report we are entering a second day of melting here in northern MN! MUCH appreciated & even the birds are starting to sing more :D

Sweet, sweet song of the first robin of the year not far from my front door. Iditarod has long time been the March marker that indicates yes, another winter is done and dusted. I count myself incredibly fortunate to share this brief period of the year with ALL OF YOU. :D :D :) 8-)
