Hi There, This is Candy Pete again, I found the word for Tangled Feet, Ilarrgulluunii. Pronounced:ee-lurr-goo-lth-u-nee. Have fun trying to pronounce it! Lol! Well, Ilarrgulluunii means tangled and Boo-do-gooks, meaning toes. Close enough I can get to feet! Good luck in finding names for your kennel!

wow what a mouth full, sounds almost welsh!

how about this for a word...

llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

yup its true! it is a word in welsh pronounced...

it means:'Saint Mary's Church in the hollow of white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of Saint Tysilio near the red cave'

can you guys pronounce that one? i can ....just as i lived a few miles from it and own a house there... welsh is very hard to learn as the letters dont sound as they look, it sounds very similar to your native language!

i had two addresses for the same place in anglesey, one in welsh one in english, depending if ti was a friend then it would be in english, if it was a cold caller or survey telephone person then i would give it in welsh and refuse to spell it out saying if they were ringing a welsh number then they should be able to speak and spell the language, hahaha, well it gave me a laugh and pee'd off the cold callers that kept ringin gme up at all hours from ringing me again hee hee

hi all,

sorry its been so long in getting back to you about the kennel names.

well we got an answer today from the kennel club of GB and they made their choice for our kennel name we had to submit 5 choices, we didnt get our first choice of tanglefoot instead they chose nayokpuk for our kennel name. we are very pleased with it and would like to thank you all for giving us the ideas, we put in qanikcaq and nanuk along with the others. damon and candy pete, can you find out for me the lasses name who's the grand daughter of herbie and pass it on for me so i can write and say thank you for her suggesting it, the post from her on the site has been edited i think or deleted.

i hope it brings us lots of luck!! we have vet exams for lolly next week and a stud dog called kaylk lined up to use, hes from the famous alaskan 'seppala' bloodlines originally and is a lead dog well known for his success in competition.

so with luck we should have some pups this year....fingers crossed!
should we be lucky enough for the pups to arrive we plan on naming them after herbie, so we shall have cannonball, herbie and shrishnaref as some of the names and of course one named after the young lady who kindly suggested the name we got for the kennels.

look forward to hearing from you guys hope your enjoying summer

matt and ems and the dogs

Great news for Shishmaref on the kennel names. I will share this with their principal when school starts!
