This is a forum for general discussion of dogsled racing, with a special focus on Alaska, and is open to all. It is expected that this area will see the most activity during the months leading up to, and during the annual Iditarod sled dog race. Pictures from races can be posted here. Hosting is provided by the Bering Strait School District (BSSD), and the area is open all year. Care to be one of our volunteer moderators? Contact us!

She will for sure finish @Top Ten. If it'll be Top4 or Top5, whatever. Mille "The Porsche" Porsild - girl on a mission!

I think Mille's got a great shot at being #4 into the finish! It looks like she took a short 1ish hour break outside of Rainy Pass, and I wouldn't be surprised if she goes all the way to Skwentna in this next run. After her, it'll be really interesting to see Joar, Wade Marrs, Ryan Redington, and Nic Petit duke it out. They're all within a couple of miles and just about to go through Finger Lake.

Joar is into Finger Lake and looks to be stopping for a rest. (Which make sense since he's been running since before Rohn.)

Do anyone remember when Nicolas rested last time?
Mille is doing great and she has shown many times she has a speedy time. Of course anything might happen, but it sure looks good!

His last rest was in Rohn. I wouldn't put it him past him to make the push from there to Skwentna, but the more conservative bet would be that he splits it up into two runs.

Thanks Fool! I think it will be a typical move by Nicolas to run all the way.

And Nicolas Petit is through Finger Lake with some straw on the back of his sled! Probably plans to stop for a rest pretty soon here.
